V3 Mediaworks provides server side protection by scanning every incoming email message for viruses and examining the message structure
for spam characteristics.
Our EMSscan service provides a great first line of defence against viruses that are transmitted via email. V3 Mediaworks recommends
that you install virus scanning software on your system to provide additional protection from viruses that we are unable to stop.
There are a number of free online scanning services that you should use from time to time to ensure that your system is virus free.
On many occassions, we've recommended an online scan to our client who thought their installed antivirus scanner was catching viruses
only to find several infected files on their systems.

Spam Blocking and Tagging
If email originates from known servers that are used to distribute spam or are known to have been exploited to send out spam, the messages are blocked by our mail servers.Email that doesn't match up to these lists are then examined for common spam phrases and charactertistics. The messages are then given a "score" based on this examination. If the score surpasses a certain threshold, the email is then "tagged" as spam by adding {SPAM?} to the subject line. This allows users to set up filters to keep as much spam as possible out of their inboxes.
